Daily Show in Ireland!
Thanks to a mention in one of Adam Curry’s podcasts, I learned that The Daily Show with Jon Stewart is carried on the More4 channel in the UK. Our digital cable company in Ireland added the channel in December.
So now our MythTV box can happily grab it at 9:30pm each night for our enjoyment later. Only recently I discovered a pieced-together weekend The Daily Show: Global Edition airing once a week on CNN. While that was a great first step, this is now so much cooler. ![]()

having seen bits of that “Global Edition” on holidays, I can certainly confirm it sucks.
How up-to-date is the More4 Daily Show? 24 hours, or more?
btw I think I’ll be hassling you for tips once I get back, on converting my NTSC Hauppauge PVR hardware into something PAL/digital compatible…

More4 appears to air them within 24 hours; the previous day’s shown at 11pm Eastern time in America airs at 8:30pm Irish time the following day. About 16.5 hours. It’s recording the More4+1 copy at 9:30pm since it’s kind enough to be grabbing Astro Farm—just 10 minutes long—at 8:30pm for P. I love MythTV.
