Giving up smoking for the 1061st time…
Okay, so day 3, using patches, gotta start somewhere. Moral support accepted. Two days, 17 hours, 42 minutes and 33 seconds. 32 cigarettes not smoked, saving €10.27. Life saved: 2 hours, 40 minutes.

Go for it! Drink lots of water, avoid caffeine (soda and coffee always got me a-jonesin’), find a punching-bag or squeezable ball to take out any frustration when you get a real urge. Even if it’s still freezing out, open up the window to keep you in fresh air but in a different setting than your smoke & walk habit of the past.

In the interests of my own health I’d just like to advise restraint re: the punching bag and squeezable ball options, especially if it’s an early morning craving…

Five days, 17 hours, 42 minutes and 53 seconds. 68 cigarettes not smoked, saving €21.52. Life saved: 5 hours, 40 minutes. Hurrah for me.
