Best movies for kids? Our list

With our older son making his way through age 7 and no sign of stopping, we decided to try to find out what would make for good movies for him to watch. He’s old enough to actually enjoy a lot more of them.

Are we missing anything? This is our list to use to make random selections. Not to check off each one like we’re expecting he’ll see everything. :)

  2. We tried “Raiders” at ~7 — seeing the guy get spiked throught the head turned out to be too scary. We also decided that the Spiderman movies and “Revenge of the Sith” were excessive for that age.

    How about “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”? Can’t go wrong with flying cars.

  5. Definitely the new Star Trek film, but perhaps on DVD, some of it might be a bit scary in a dark cinema.
