The patriot act alone compromised our Bill of Rights in more than one way. Those Bill of Rights ar part of our freedom. The government is doing enough to ruin this country fine on its own. And my post was more about how "we’re an open society", which we're not when I'm told IN THE EMBASSY that they must assume every person who comes here is looking to illegally emigrate. How on earth is that welcoming people?! I've learned, from living overseas, that the US doesn't care for anyone else but themselves. M, who is from Poland, just realized this as well, when she said to me "We have a pro-US president. We fought in Iraq. Why can't we come here like most other Europeans?
